Jack Keelan qualified in the 800 meters as the Bard College Track and Field team competed on Friday afternoon's opening day of the Liberty League Championship at Harkness Field.
Keelan won his heat and ran an AARTFCC Outdoor Championship qualifying time of 1:55.80. His time placed him third in the overall ranking, only 0:0.79 away from the top time of 1:55.01 run by Dominic Pena of RPI. Keelan will run again for the 800-meter Championship tomorrow at 2:20 p.m. Oliver Pawlek ran 2:01.00, which was .03 seconds off his personal best time of 2:00.97.
On the women's side, the Raptors had two athletes run personal best times.
Hawra Moochhala finished the 200 meters and 400 meters with a personal best. Moochhala cut .66 seconds off her 200-meter time and a whole second off her 400-meter time. Gabby Parchment ran a personal best in the 100 meters, shaving .60 seconds off her time. She also ran a personal best in the 200 meters, shaving .30 seconds off her time.
