The Bard College baseball team wrapped up their conference series against Union, losing the doubleheader 23-5 and 8-3 on Saturday afternoon at Central Park.
Bard totaled 12 hits on the day and six of the 11 starters had at least one hit, including multiple hits from
Kam Naficy, who went 3-4, and
Mike Hannan, who went 2-3 in Game 1.
Gavin Gonzalez had a hit in each game and totaled three RBI on the day.
Sam Dumper had a hit in game 2 and totaled two runs on the day.
In Game 1, the Raptors employed three first-year pitchers, with
Graham Benway starting on the mound for Bard. Benway pitched 2.0 innings with three strikeouts, while
Nikhil Newman and
Charlie Lehr each had two strikeouts.
In Game 2,
Bryant Elliott started on the mound and threw 5.0 innings with six strikeouts.
Kane Morgan came out of the bullpen and threw 3.0 innings with four strikeouts.
Bard will host Williams on Tuesday for a single nine-inning game at 4 p.m.
