Box Score 2 The Bard College baseball team fell in a Liberty League doubleheader at Hobart on Friday evening at Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex in Cortland.
Bard had three Raptors with multiple hits in each game.
Jimmy Famularo went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI in Game 1. In Game 2,
Sam Dumper went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double and
Mike Lynch went 2-for-4 with one run and a double.
Mike Hannan had a hit and an RBI in Game 1 and had a hit and a walk in Game 2.
Kam Naficy totaled two runs and drew three walks in Game 2.
First-year
Graham Benway had his first collegiate start in Game 1 and threw 5.0 innings, allowing just one earned run.
Sachin Wijay came out of the bullpen to throw 1.0 inning with one strikeout. In Game 2,
Charlie Lehr had his second collegiate start on the mound and had four strikeouts.
Jamie Fryer came in as relief, striking out one batter.
Nikhil Newman came in for Fryer in the bottom of the third inning and threw 3.1 innings with four strikeouts.
The Raptors rallied back in both games, holding Hobart scoreless from the fourth inning on in Game 2.
Bard will take on Ithaca on Sunday at noon at Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex.
