Freddy Coronel set a new school record and won the "C" final of the 200 fly, while junior
Olivia Dower qualified for the "C" final of the 200 fly to conclude Day 3 of the Liberty League Championships at Ithaca.
Coronel qualified for the evening finals after swimming in the morning prelim with a time of 2:04.81. Coronel won the "C" final and finished 17th place with a time of 2:03.40, beating his personal and school record of 2:04.12.
On the women's side, Dower qualified for the "C" finals with a time of 2:31.07, and finished 23rd with a time of 2:28.35, just .30 off her school and personal record. She also swam the 800 freestyle relay with
Katelyn Campoverde, Zlata Paslon, and
Gaius Forsyth and the quartet were just two seconds off the school record which was set last year.
Mendez and Campoverde swam the 100 backstroke with Campoverde swimming a personal best, cutting nine seconds off her previous best.
The Raptors will be back tomorrow for the last day of the Championships starting at 10 a.m.
