ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Bard College first-year Reece Sherf was named the Liberty League Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon. 

Sherf has been improving his time in every meet he has competed in this winter. This week, Reece won his 100 free and took second in the 200 free against Purchase. He improved his personal record for both: 1:03.82 in the 100 free and 2:32.23 in the 200 free.

This weekend against William Paterson, he won both his events and improved his time in the 200 free with a time of 2:29.36 while swimming 1:04.96 in the 100 free. 

It is Sherf's first-ever award, and he becomes the second Raptor to be named this award since Dio Tzortzis on October 26, 2015.
