The Bard women's squash team played its final match at CSA Nationals, battling with Mt. Holyoke on Saturday afternoon.
In the 7-1 victory for Mt. Holyoke, several Raptors had strong performances, highlighted by
Mona Haidari at #5, whose match went to five games. After falling behind 1-0 and 2-1, Haidari tied the match at 2-2 in games, and the fifth set was tied 8-8 before the Mt. Holyoke player captured the win.
Meherin Hossain also played a close match at #3, and Raptors throughout the ladder performed well against strong opponents. Bard captured its point at the #4 spot, where
Tee Williams won by default due to a late scratch by her opponent.
The match closed the season for the Raptors and the careers of seniors
Jacinta Creel,
Zohra Helali, and
Aqela Nussrat. It was the team's first year under new coach
Jack Smith, and featured a return to CSA Nationals for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
