The Bard men's volleyball team battled hard in a pair of matches against ranked opponents on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 to No. 2 Stevens and No. 19 Benedictine.
Against Benedictine, the Raptors had a close match with Bard, winning at least 20 points in each set, including the second set, which went 28-26. First-year
Kincade Avery led the team with eight kills and added six digs. Graduate student
Angel Obergh had seven kills and a team-high nine digs. First-year
Lincoln Grisso had four kills and a team-high four blocks and two aces.
In the second match of the day, Obergh improved his hit percentage from .188 (7-of-16) to .214 (6-of-14). Avery had seven kills and had four digs, while Grisso added five kills.
Bard host CCNY on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for its first of five straight home games.
