ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bard College women's volleyball fell in straight sets against Skidmore on Friday night at Stevenson Athletic Center.

Annika Flittie, and
Coral Cook each had eight kills, while
Ella Small had a team high of 18 digs. Small now has 821 career digs which places her sixth in the all-time career digs record, surpassing Daniella Azulai.
Becca Wintjen had a team-high of 24 assists, her 13th time to have 20 or more assists in a game. Riley added a career-high 10 digs, while Small had a team-high four aces.
Skidmore took an early lead in the first set, 9-4, but Bard battled back, kept the set tight, and took a 14-13 lead. Tied at 14-14, the Thoroughbreds went on a 7-0 run to take a 21-14 lead and closed out the first set 25-19.
The second set was similar to the first, as Skidmore took an early lead 13-5, and the Raptors fought back and got as close as 15-11. Skidmore finished the second set 25-18. In the third set, Bard took an early lead 8-4, including a 5-0 service run by Small. A timeout by Skidmore reset the set for the Thoroughbreds as they went on a 13-4 run to take a 17-12 lead. Skidmore sealed the win with a kill by Maya Stolarz.
Bard will return at home tomorrow against Clarkson for their Dig it Pink Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Awareness game at 2 p.m.
