WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Bard visited Williams on Tuesday afternoon, with the hosts earning a 12-4 win. It was the second meeting between the schools, with the Raptors having earned a 13-3 win at home last year.
Williams took an early lead with five runs in the second inning, and were up 9-1 after four. The Raptors pulled a few runs back late with one in the seventh and two in the eighth.
Bryant Elliott went 1-for-2 with two walks, a run, and an RBI in the leadoff spot,
Jack Williamson went 3-for-5 with a double, and
Jared Toby and
Sam Dumper each added a pair of hits.
Murphy Foss threw a scoreless inning in relief work, striking out one.
The Raptors will be back in action on Saturday for a doubleheader at SUNY Brockport while awaiting other Liberty League results to determine pairings for the crossover weekend on May 6-7.
