WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY – Men's tennis squared off against a tough Hobart team on Friday night, with the Raptors losing by a 9-0 score to the regionally-ranked Statesmen.
The match was played indoors in Wappingers Falls, having moved from Bard due to weather.
Noah Gulla continued his strong play at #1 singles, battling in a competitive first set but ultimately falling 6-4, 6-0 to his opponent. Gulla and
Thanasis Kostikas were also took a pair of games at #1 doubles, as did
Drew Soleiman and
Kai O'Donnell at #2 doubles.
Bard will return to action quickly, facing Ithaca on Sunday in another Liberty League match. The competition against Pratt, originally scheduled for Saturday, was cancelled due to weather.
