DUDLEY, Mass. - The Bard men's volleyball team was defeated by 15th-ranked Nichols College on the road on Saturday afternoon in the team's second match of a road trip to Massachusetts.

The Raptors started the match battling closely with the Bison, and almost mounted a comeback late in the first set, pulling to within 23-20 before the hosts closed out the set. Nichols took control in the second set, and closed out the 3-0 victory with 25-14 and 25-9 set wins.

Offensively, the Raptors were led by Angel Obergh (5 kills), Ty McGlynn (4 kills and 3 aces), and Logan Tondini (3 kills), with Georgi Chikolov (6 assists) and Moises Arteaga (4 assists) splitting the passing duties. 

Bard completed its opening weekend in the NEVC with a 1-1 record, having topped Lesley on Friday night. The team returns to action on Friday for another busy weekend, this time outside of conference play, facing Hunter College on the road on Friday and returning home on Saturday against Medgar Evers.
