Raptors close Florida swing with loss to Eau Claire

Box Score DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Bard baseball team finished its five-game trip to Florida on Tuesday, ending up on the wrong side of a dominant pitching performance in a 7-0 loss to Wisconsin Eau-Claire.

Raptors senior Kevin Lee threw five solid innings, allowing just four hits and one earned run, while striking out five. But Eau-Claire junior Matt Moore kept the Bard bats quiet with a no-hitter, allowing six baserunners (two walks and four hit batters). Jared Toby, Jack Williamson and DJ Pearson all had stolen bases but the Raptors couldn't break through.

Bard returns to Annandale-on-Hudson having gone 2-3 in Florida, having earned wins against Old Westbury and Elmhurst over the weekend.

The Raptors will open Liberty League play this Saturday at home, hosting Vassar for a doubleheader starting at 12 noon at Honey Field.
