ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College men's squash celebrated its two seniors and went 1-1 on Saturday afternoon, defeating Swarthmore, 9-0, after falling to Vassar, 8-1. 

Sophomore Artemy Mukhin won both his matches, winning 3-1 against Vassar and in straight sets against Swarthmore. Seniors Luca Heidelberg and Will Egan both won their second match of the day, defeating Swarthmore in straight sets. Ahmad Shoaib Jalil and Missaq Bahar won their first collegiate games in straight sets. 

The victory against Swarthmore was the first for new coach Jack Smith, who took over for Craig Thorpe-Clark ahead of this season.

In its next matches, Bard will travel to Fordham on December 3 for a quad match against Colgate, UConn and Fordham.
