The Bard College women's volleyball team faced a pair of tough opponents on Saturday at Skidmore, dropping a 3-1 result to the hosts before falling 3-0 to Ramapo.

The Raptors (9-14) started the day with a tight match against Skidmore (8-11), where the hosts took the first set 25-11 before Bard won the second 25-20. After the Thoroughbreds won set three by a 25-15 score, the fourth set was won by the hosts in close 26-24 set.

Ryan Lum led Bard with 16 kills, followed by
Abi Batingan with eight and
Emily Hall Smith with 6. Lum and
Puja Clements both added four aces, and
Adi David had 31 assists. On the defensive side, Clements led Bard with 15 digs, while David and Lum each had 10. First-year
LaeAnna Riley had a pair of blocks.

In the second match of the day, the Raptors squared off against Ramapo (13-1), who took control of the match early and won by a 3-0 score.
Ella Small led Bard with eight digs, and David,
Annie Couey, and
Becca Wintjen all had aces.

Bard will make a visit to Medgar Evers on Tuesday before returning home next weekend for Liberty League matches against Ithaca on Friday and William Smith on Saturday.
