SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Bard College women's squash team lost to Smith College, 4-3, and Mount Holyoke College, 7-0, in road matches on Saturday.

Pamela Jaramillo, Jacinta Creel Vallejo and Meherin Hossain won at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 for Bard against Smith, and Smith won at 4, 5 and 6. The match was decided by a default by Bard at No. 7.

Mount Holyoke swept Bard in the top six positions and accepted a forfeit at No. 7.

"I was pleased with the on-court competitiveness and work ethic as the players gain valuable experience," Bard coach Craig Thorpe-Clark said.

Next up are the Liberty League Championships at St. Lawrence University next weekend.
