ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team lost to Smith College in a non-league matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Smith scored once in the first half and twice in the second half, outshooting Bard 15-5 for the game.
"Despite the scoreboard, we really showed well in our ball movement around the back and through the midfield," Bard coach
Kate Hofstede said. "I'd like to see us see us develop our execution in the attacking third, and build on taking more risks. We started to do that in the second half, and that made us vulnerable in back, but we have to work on scoring goals."
Carina Cooke,
Felicia Flores,
Abby Frazier,
Kylie Quinn, and
Chrissy Gildersleeve each produced a shot for the Raptors, who finished with three corner kicks to Smith's seven.
Bard next hosts Russell Sage College on Wednesday at 6.
