ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to Union College, 9-0, in a Liberty League match on Wednesday.

Izzi Popolizio, who was playing in her first college tennis match, won five games at No. 6 singles and partnered with Victoria Bagatcholon to win four games at No. 2 doubles. Nico Gusac won seven games at No. 1 singles.

"We were missing a couple of players, but everyone in the lineup really stepped up and played some good tennis," Bard coach Roge Nesbitt said.

Up next for Bard is another non-league match, this on at Mount St. Mary on Saturday morning.
