ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team defeated Russell Sage College, 5-4, in a thriller on Saturday morning.

The match simply could not have been closer. Bard took two of the three doubles matches, with Sage winning at No. 1 via tiebreaker. Two of the singles matches went to tiebreakers, and the team split those. Singles victories by Nico Gusac, Page Houghton and Victoria Bagatcholon pushed the Raptors over the top.

"The whole team contributed to the win," Bard coach Roge Nesbitt said. "The deciding point came from Paige Houghton at No. 4 singles in a third set tiebreak!"

Bard next hosts Union in a Liberty League match on Wednesday.
