ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College's women's soccer open the 2022 season with a 1-0 victory over Anna Maria College on Thursday evening. 

The only goal of the game was scored in the 22nd minute when Emma Kuntz, unmarked 25 yards from goal, launched a rocket from a sharp angle and scored her first career goal. 

Bard outshot the visitors 11 to 4, and corners and fouls were even. Kuntz led Bard with 4 shots, while first-year Carina Cooke played all 90 minutes and produced three shots. 

Bard will host Smith College on Saturday, September 3rd, at 4 PM.
