Bard College student-athlete Caleb Ribeiro has been signed by Kingston Stockade FC of the National Premier Soccer League.

The semi-professional club holds annual open tryouts, and Ribeiro was recently informed that he made the squad.

"I'm really excited, but mostly just grateful to have the opportunity to play on this talented roster and for this great coaching staff," Ribeiro said. "Stockade has built a great team atmosphere between players and fans, and it's a privilege to be part of that."

"Caleb is a hard-working, talented player who has the ability to help our program," said Dan Hoffay, Stockade's Technical Director. "His tenacity will help him succeed at our level."

Ribeiro broke through this past fall, which was his sophomore season, as he led Bard in scoring and was named All-Liberty League Second Team. He also made the Liberty League All-Academic Team.

"I'm delighted to see that Stockade offered him an opportunity to play and continue his development," Bard head coach TJ Kostecky said. "He'll have the chance to play against experienced, older players and it's going to challenge him."
