"This was our first meet after a long layoff after the Liberty League Indoor Championships," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "Our student-athletes left Ithaca that day hungry to establish themselves in the outdoor season. We set the tone today with solid performances from top to bottom."

Jack Keelan placed 17th overall in the 200, and eighth in the 400. Darrion Thornburgh placed 22nd in the 800.

"Jack Keelan is a man on a mission," Poole-Harris said. "His performance in the 400 in the second-fastest time in the Bard record book. I've been around this sport a long time, and Darrion's race was one of the finest tactical 800 races I've seen. I'm very proud of him and his effort.

"We look to capitalize on this momentum by being intelligent in the way we train and race," Poole-Harris added.

Next up for Bard is the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University next weekend.
