ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team split a tri-match on Saturday, losing to 13th-ranked Nazareth, then beating Sarah Lawrence.
It was a big day for Bard's
Ty McGlynn and
Angel Obergh, who had double-digit kills in both matches.
Nazareth beat Bard 25-21, 25-23 and 25-18. McGlynn had 14 kills and six digs, Obergh had 11 kills and seven digs,
Josh Kim had 23 assists, and
Ben Casler led Bard with eight digs.
Bard beat Sarah Lawrence 25-16, 25-14, 23-25 and 25-12. McGlynn had 23 kills, seven digs and six aces, and hit .450. Obergh had 17 kills, 11 digs and six aces, Kim had 46 assists, while
Quincy Ross and Casler chipped in with seven and six kills, respectively.
"I'm happy with the win and the way we played overall," Bard coach
Adam Niemczynowicz said. "We've got to be able to close out close games, and come away with the big plays at the end of games."
Bard next hosts City College of New York in a non-league game on Tuesday night.
