BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team defeated Pratt Institute, 83-79, in a non-league game on Tuesday night.
The Raptors scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed.
First-year
Calvin Mader-Clark matched his career high - set last week - with 18 points, and he added five rebounds, three steals and a block.
Elliot Harris scored 15 points,
Tyler Bruns finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, and
Caleb Moore had 10 crucial points off the bench (eight in the second half) to go with four assists.
"Great team win to go into break and into Liberty League play," Bard coach
Michael Lenahan said. "Pratt fought back in the second half, but we never got discouraged, stayed together, and that allowed us to grit out a win with a key defensive stop at the end."
The Raptors next open Liberty League play on the weekend of Dec. 2-3, when they travel to RIT and Ithaca, respectively.
