NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Bard College men's swimming team opened the 2022-23 season at Mount St. Mary College on Friday night.

Tom Gardron won the 100-back and 200-IM, and Freddy Coronel took first in the 100-fly and 500-free.

"Tom and Freddy were great tonight," Bard coach John Weitz said. "Tom's IM swim was really solid. His butterfly and breaststroke have improved tremendously in the last couple of years. He is so versatile, it will be difficult to narrow down his events to just three by the end of the year."

Bard jumps right back in the pool on Saturday, traveling to the Sarah Lawrence Sprint Carnival.
