WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bard College women's cross country team competed at the Purple Valley Classic, hosted by William College, on Saturday.

"Due to injuries, we only had one runner in the field today, and that was Mayerli Collantes Cook," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "She is ready for a breakthrough, and today's race was an indication of that. She went out and competed well, even though she was dealing with some adversity."

Bard will next compete at the Western New England University Invitational on Oct. 15.
