The Bard women's cross-country team ran well and finished third at Hampshire College's Founding Tree Invitational in Western Massachusetts on Saturday morning.
Sadie Torre led the way for the Raptors, continuing to lower their personal best and earning 12th place overall and 11 points in the team standings. The next Bard runners across the line were
Amaya Zebe-Herrera in 15th place,
Mayerli Collantes Cook in 19th, and
Odille Zexter-Kaiser in 22nd, all with seasons' best marks.
Violet DiBiasio and
Chloe Desautels were the final Raptors across the line to complete the team's strong showing.
Western New England University won the event with 46 points, and the Raptors earned third with 88 points in the 11-team field.
After a busy season so far where the team has been in action every weekend through the month of September, the team has a week off before returning to Western Mass at the Western New England Golden Bear Invitational on October 14 in Springfield, followed by the Liberty League Championships in Geneva, N.Y. on October 28.
