"The team swam well in their final tuneup, so it was a great finish to our regular season," Bard coach John Weitz said. "As we head into the last two weeks of taper, they look ready for rest. January training has been great for the team.  It's been a lot of very intense swimming, but as tired as they are, they really stepped up to race today."

The Liberty League Championships will be hosted by Ithaca College Feb. 16-19.

"The next two and a half weeks will see the team getting more and more rest," Weitz said. "Off of the strong fall and exhaustive January, the rest will be just what they need for a great conference championship meet in February.  We are really looking forward to it."
