ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to Mount St. Mary College, 7-2, in a non-league match on Friday.

Bard first year Maya Kelly won her first collegiate match at No. 1 singles, getting past Katie Murray, 6-1, 6-3. Sophomore Lapis Dove picked up Bard's other point, outlasting Grace Monahan in a third set tiebreaker after they split the first two sets.

"Many long points played in tonight's match," Bard coach Roge Nesbitt said. "The team played hard and I saw some progress being made. We keep working so we can accomplish more!"

The Raptors next open Liberty League play at Union on Wednesday afternoon.
