SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to Union College, 8-1, in the Liberty League opener for both schools on Wednesday.

Union swept all but No. 6 singles, where Bard's Marsela Doko prevailed, 6-1, 6-1.

"Marsela was just very consistent," Bard coach Roge Nesbitt said, "and she outplayed her opponent."

Bard will next host Ramapo on Thursday, Sept. 30.
