MADISON, N.J. - The Bard College women's soccer team lost to Westfield State University, 6-1, on the second day of the Drew College Fall Festival on Sunday.
Bard first year keeper
Sam Finn saved a penalty kick, and sophomore
Claire Peet scored her first college goal.
"Today was our first real challenge with playing back-to-back matches, and being down three players due to injury," Bard coach
Kate Hofstede said. "We've had to adjust our lineup, which has put players in different positions. The team was a bit disconnected today and there are a lot of takeaways that we can build on from the experience.
"I was glad to see the team come together for a late goal," Hofstede continued, "as the attack was exactly what we talked about at halftime. Emphasis on details and consistency will be a priority moving forward."
The Raptors are back on the road on Wednesday afternoon for a game at New Paltz.
