NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Bard College men's track team opened the indoor portion of the season at The College of New Jersey Indoor Opener on Saturday, an event hosted at the historic Armory.

Oliver Pawelek, Reed Campbell and Darrion Thornburgh finished 10th, 14th and 16th, respectively, in the one-mile run.

Jack Keelan ran 1:30.06. Jack coming off the cross country season on a mission; he's focused to improved in the mid-distance events and it shows in practice. Also in the 600 personal bests for Caleb, Azal, and Cole Ewalt. All of them are challenging each other day in and day out. As for our milers, if was a solid start to the season with Oliver and Reed running under five minutes for the mile. Oliver has establish the mark for the indoor mile for Bard running 4:49.3.""
Bard will next compete in the Spartan Invite, hosted by Saint Thomas Aquinas College, on Jan. 14.
"This group will be tough down the road," Poole-Harris said. "Overall, really like the trajectory of this team. They're all scrappy and that a great Quality they will have to rely on as we move through the season into championship meets."
