"The men had a great weekend," Bard coach
John Weitz said. "
Tom Gadron led the way with his best unshaved time in the 100-back and dropping 6 seconds off his 200-back in the final session of the weekend. First year swimmer
Freddy Coronel swam his lifetime best leading off the 400-free relay. Struggling with a shoulder injury most of the fall, it was a sure sign that there are big things ahead for Freddy.
"But the biggest swim of the weekend was swum by team Captain
John Reisert," Weitz added. "His 200 butterfly was not only a best time by over 3 seconds, but it broke the team record. John's swim was especially impressive considering he did it unshaved in December. It really bodes well for how he and the team can swim at Liberty League Championships in February."
Bard's home opener is on Jan. 8 vs. Mount St. Mary College.
