ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team lost to Ithaca College, 5-0, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
Ithaca scored four goals in the first 12 minutes, and Bard was stubborn the rest of the way.
"We need to set the tone better and we fell short of that," Bard coach
Kate Hofstede said. "As far as the rest of the game, we were competitive on both ends of the field, creating scoring chances, combining through midfield, and getting on the end of through balls in the attacking third. Those are all things we worked on this week."
Bard heads to North Country next weekend for games at St. Lawrence and Clarkson.
"As usual,
Felicia Flores held down her defensive responsibilities quite well," Hofstede said. "
Abby Frazier had some great moments of attacking presence, both on the dribble and with her passing. And
Emma LaPenta, who is coming off an injury, really stepped up her game and allowed us to lessen the pressure on our back line."Â
