BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Bard College women's cross country team competed for the first time at the Paul Short Run, one of the largest meets in the country, at Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.
Everyone who ran for Bard set a personal record, including
Natasha Cameron and
Gillian Adkins, who finished 93rd and 94th, respectively, as Bard's top two finishers. Their times put them at fifth and seventh on Bard's list of fastest 6Ks in the history of the program.
"Everybody definitely turned a corner today," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "Natasha ran a lifetime PR, same with Gillian, and Sadie ran an amazing race. Everybody from top to bottom was phenomenal."
In two weeks, Bard will compete in the Western New England Invitational.
"We went out there with the same script," Poole-Harris said. "We're moving in the right direction."
