POTSDAM, N.Y. – Playing in their second Liberty League match in two days, the Bard College women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to Clarkson University Saturday afternoon.
Clarkson (14-3, 2-0 LL) got off to a hot start, winning 10 of the first 11 points in set one and cruising to a 25-6 win to go up 1-0.
The second set featured a similar pattern, as the Golden Knights got out to an early lead in the set and never looked back, picking up a 25-9 win to take a 2-0 lead in the match. The Raptors (3-10, 0-2 LL) came out strong early in the third set, taking a 7-5 lead. But Clarkson rebounded and went on a 10-3 run to take a five point lead, then closed the match out by winning eight of the final nine points to pick up a 25-14 victory.

Mikala L'Hote tied for the team lead with four kills apiece. Senior
Jewel Smith had 10 assists and nine digs, and senior
Emily Anastasi picked up 17 digs during the match.
Bard returns to the court Thursday, Oct. 3, when they finish their three game road trip with a visit to SUNY Delhi, with game time scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
