CLINTON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team lost a non-league game at Hamilton College on Wednesday night, 101-57.
The Continentals (3-0) ran out to a 19-2 lead, but Bard responded and trimmed the deficit to 27-17 with 4:59 left in the first half, on a three-pointer by freshman
Tyler Bruns. But Hamilton put together a 19-4 run to end the half and led, 46-21, at the break.
The hosts expanded their lead in the second half, and six players finished with double-figure scoring. The Continentals made 17-of-33 three-pointers and shot 53 percent from the field overall. Elliott Tirbaso (Medina, OH) led all scorers with 17 points.
Stamatis Koulouris led Bard with 13 points, five rebounds and six assists. Freshman
Kevin Le added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists, while
Elliot Harris and
Avo Sofroniou added nine points apiece.
