DELHI, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team lost to SUNY Delhi, 81-62, in a non-league game on Tuesday night.
The game was tight for 10 minutes, but a 15-4 run by the Broncos created a cushion, and the lead was 38-20 at halftime. In the first 20 minutes, SUNY Delhi shot 41 percent from the field to Bard's 26 percent.
The Raptors (0-5) found some life in the second half, trimming a 21-point deficit down to 13 a couple of times, the last time with 2:17 remaining on a three-pointer by
Stefanos Psarras. But Bard got no closer, and the Broncos improved to 6-2.
Junior Darius Hines (Troy, NY) led all scorers with 21 points for SUNY Delhi, while Justin Daoud (Yonkers, NY) added 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Bard had four players score in double figures, led by
