SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team lost to Union, 6-0, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Dutchwomen (7-4-0 overall, 2-2-0 Liberty League) scored three goals in each half. Emma Schleimer (Melville, NY) broke a scoreless tie in the 22nd minute off a pass from Fiona Zimmerman (Niskayuna, NY), and Union made it 2-0 nine minutes later. Bella Dworkin (Manchester, VT) scored with Schleimer getting the assist.
Before the half ended, Linsey Giles (Beford, MA) scored an unassisted goal, and it was 3-0 at the half.
Schleimer scored an unassisted goal early in the second half. Alexa Cornacchia (Hamden, CT) and Molllie Boone (Burnt Hills, NY) added a goal apiece later on.
Rachel Mordecai got a pair of shots off for the Raptors (3-9-1, 0-5-0).
Abigail Stanley made seven saves, and
Skylar Farmer made three.
Up next for Bard is a trip to North Country. The Raptors will play at Clarkson on Friday and at St. Lawrence on Saturday.
