ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team lost to Nazareth College, 3-0, in a United Volleyball Match played at St. John Fisher on Saturday.
Set scores for Nazareth were 25-9, 25-16 and 25-16.
The Golden Eagles (17-9 overall, 4-2 UVC) hit .342 in the match, including .400 in the first set and .500 in the second set. Nazareth cruised to a first set victory, 25-9, then Bard (2-16, 0-6 UVC) won the first six points of the second set. The Golden Eagles retook the lead at 13-12 and never looked back. Nazareth never trailed in the third set.
Freshman Antonio Sargent (Chesapeake, VA) led Nazareth with 10 kills and three blocks. Sean Dillon (Clifton Park, NY) added nine kills (.727) and four blocks.
Bard got 10 kills, three assists and seven digs from
Tyler Zowaski.
Josh Kim contributed 11 assists and five digs, and
Tristan Kozul led the Raptors with eight digs.
