PITTSFORD, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team lost to St. John Fisher College, 3-0, in a United Volleyball Conference match on Sunday morning.
The Cardinals improved to 12-12 overall, 1-6 in the UVC. Bard fell to 2-17, 0-7.
The hosts got off to a 10-4 lead in the first set and cruised to victory. The second set was closer, tied for the last time at 12-12, but the Raptors couldn't get closer than 20-16 down the stretch. In the third set. St. John Fisher hit .520 and held the Raptors off, as it was the closest set of the match.
Senior Joe Kinney (Liverpool, NY) led the Cardinals with 11 kills (.389) and 11 digs. Paul Hackford (Orchard Park, NY) had 34 assists.
Bard got four kills apiece from
Stefan Briggs and
Tristan Kozul;
Josh Kim had 15 assists, and
Tyler Zowaski had 10 digs.
Bard's final home game of the season is up next. The Raptors will host Yeshiva University on Tuesday night at 8:30. It'll be senior night for Briggs, Zowaski and
Miroslav Skular.
