Rogers scores 20 in loss at Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team lost to Ithaca College, 85-63, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.

The Bombers improved to 10-7 in the league and 15-9 overall. They clinched a playoff spot with the victory, but where they'll be seeded remains unknown with one regular season game remaining. Bard fell to 5-12 in the Liberty League and 7-17 overall.

The game was decided in the first half. Ithaca made 12 of its first 16 shots and ran out to a 24-5 lead. It was 55-26 at halftime, and although Bard outscored Ithaca, 37-30, in the second half, the result was never in doubt.

Senior Marc Chacin (Miami, FL) had 16 points to lead Ithaca, 14 in the first half. Peter Ezema (New York, NY)  added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Bard freshman Justyn Rogers led all scorers with 20 points, and he hit four three-pointers. Jelani Bell-Isaac added 14 points and eight rebounds.
