ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's squash team lost a pair of games Saturday afternoon, falling to Vassar College, 8-1, and Fordham University, 7-2.

In the opening match against Vassar, Bard's lone win came from No. 9 Justine Zaki by default, as the Brewers only traveled with eight players. No. 6 Jackie Lerman pushed her opponent to four sets, but that was the only game won in the contest by Bard.

In the second match of the afternoon, the Raptors improved their play, before ultimately falling to Fordham, 7-2. No. 3 Jamie-Rose Graham, who was playing in her first career squash matches today, won in straight sets, 11-9, 11-4 and 11-6. 

No. 4 Riti Bahl also secured a win for the Raptors, topping her opponent in a five-set thriller, 8-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-9 and 11-6. No. 2 Nadia Russell started her match by winning the first two sets, before Kat Coleman of Fordham rallied back to win the last three frames.

With the losses, Bard dropped to 0-6 on the year. 

Up next for the Raptors is day two of the Bard Round Robin event. Bard is set to host the University of Rochester at 9 a.m. and Smith College at noon tomorrow (11/18) at the Stevenson Athletic Center.
