Raptors fall to St. Lawrence, William Smith on Day 2 of Liberty League Championships

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's squash team lost a pair of contests to St. Lawrence University and William Smith College Sunday morning, on the second day of the Liberty League Championships.

The Raptors lost both matches 9-0.

Francesca Keller, Bard's No.1, took a game in her contest against St. Lawrence, but ultimately lost the matchup 11-3, 11-3, 9-11, 11-4.

In the final contest of the day, St. Lawrence topped William Smith 5-4 to win the Liberty League Championship. St. Lawrence was named the first Liberty League Champion in women's squash since Vassar College won it back in 2009-10, as the title was discontinued following a period of not having enough teams.

The championship was reinstituted this year due to Bard's elevation to a varsity program back in the fall.

Up next for the Raptors is one last competition for the 2018 season. Bard will travel to Boston for the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships and compete from February 16-18.
