DALLAS, Pa. - The Bard College men's volleyball team lost to Misericordia College and Wilkes College at Misericordia on Saturday afternoon.
The Raptors (0-5) were swept by Misericordia 25-23, 30-28 and 25-13.
Bard hit .240 in the first set, but the Cougars (3-2) rallied from a 20-17 deficit to pull it out, 25-23. The Raptors were down big, 18-7 and 23-14, in the second set, but came storming back, only to lose it, 30-28.
Misericordia cruised in the third set, taking it 25-13.Â
The winners got 13 kills from Ryan Miller (Mullica Hills, NJ), and 10 from Caleb Bauder (Coopersburg, PA). Bailey Brugler (Nazareth, PA) had 31 assists.
Bard got six kills and four digs apiece from
Stefan Briggs and
Tyler Zowaski.
Josh Kim had 12 assists and
Tristan Kozul had eight digs.
Wilkes beat Bard, 3-1, for the second week in a row. Set scores were 25-16, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-17. Wilkes (2-5) hit .376.
Wilkes got 19 kills (.500) and 12 assists from Daniel Sales (Laflin, PA).
Bard got 10 kills apiece from Zowaski and Briggs; Kim had 16 assists and 10 digs, and Kozul led the team with 11 digs. Miroslav Skular chipped in with six kills and eight dogs.
The Raptors will play at home for the first time next weekend, when Keuka and Wilson come to Annandale for a tri-match. Follow all three matches right here.
