GENEVA, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team lost to Hobart College, 97-58, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.
The loss snapped Bard's two-game winning streak.
Hobart (10-4 overall, 5-1 Liberty League) was hot right from the start, shooting 56 percent from the field in the first half, and holding Bard to eight points in the first 10 minutes. For the game, the Statesmen shot 52 percent from the field, 54 percent from beyond the arc (13-for-24), and made 16-of-19 free throws.
Four starters scored in double figures for Hobart, led by freshman Dan Masino (Fairport, NY), who had 19 points. Colin Dougherty (Lockport, NY) added 16 points. Jack Lesure (North Bridgton, ME) added seven points and 11 rebounds off the bench.
Emmanuel Oyakhilome had 12 points and five rebounds for Bard;
Justyn Rogers added 11 points, and
Josh Etukudo led the Raptors with eight rebounds off the bench.
