BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Bard College men's volleyball team won its second straight match on Wednesday night, sweeping Sarah Lawrence, 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Bard cruised 25-13, 25-9, and 25-12.
The Raptors (3-11) dominated from the start. They hit .240 in the first set, .500 in the second set, and .366 in the third. It was their second-best hitting performance of the season.
Freshman
Tristan Kozul led the way with 12 kills (.556).
Alex Adams added nine kills, four aces, four blocks and three digs. Freshman
Pyar Seth contributed seven kills (.556),
Mahir Sheikh had 20 assists, and
Josh Kim had six aces. Senior
Shane McDonald got into the act with five kills and seven assists.
The Gryphons (0-4) got five kills from sophomore Callan Moor (Los Angeles, CA).
Bard will next travel to Harrisonburg, Va., for three matches over two days at Eastern Mennonite University. On Friday night, Bard will play Cairn. On Saturday, the Raptors will face Rutgers-Newark and host Eastern Mennonite. Live Video is available for all three matches.
