Davenport breaks 100-breast record, Raptors defeated in tight contest at Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Bard College men's swimming and diving team lost a close contest to Brooklyn College Saturday afternoon, 104-99.

The Raptors finished with several wins on the day, including a win in the 100-breast by freshman Hunter Davenport. Davenport's time of 1:03.15 broke Dio Tzortzis' Bard record of 1:03.45 in the event.

Tzortzis collected two wins of his own in the 200-free and 100-back, while Kristof Szabo won the 500 and 1000-free events.

Tyler Mar won the 50-free and in the 200-medley relay, the team of Tzortzis, Davenport, Mar and Kevin Barbosa finished in first.

The Raptors will have some time off now before returning to action on January 13th at SUNY Cobleskill at 1 p.m.
