ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost to Skidmore College, 3-0, in a Liberty League match on Saturday afternoon.

Set scores were 25-18, 25-16 and 25-18. The Thoroughbreds improved to 13-7 overall, 3-2 in the Liberty League; Bard fell to 4-17, 0-5.

The first set was tight until the midway point. It was 16-14 in favor of the visitors when Skidmore scored seven of the next 10 points, then closed the set out on a Bard service error.

Skidmore had 15 kills and just two errors (.448) in the second set, cruising to a 25-16 win.

The third set was similar to the first. Bard hung in there for a while - it was 14-12 - when five consecutive Bard errors led to run of seven straight points for Skidmore. The Thoroughbreds won the third set, 25-18.

Kat Ehnstrom (Kaneohe, HI) led Skidmore with 12 kills and she hit .409. Lauren Wolters (San Francisco, CA) had 29 assists. Caite Canfield, Bailey Hutchins and Allie Dillon contributed 10 digs apiece.

Bard got 16 kills and 11 digs from Philippine Alba. Victoria Chou had 14 assists, and Emily Anastasi finished with 10 digs.
