POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team was defeated by Clarkson University in straight sets Friday evening.

Set scores for the contest were 25-12, 25-17 and 25-6.

Although the Raptors were unable to secure a set victory, the team opened each frame neck-and-neck with Clarkson.

Unfortunately for Bard, the Golden Knights of Clarkson started all three sets red-hot and stayed that way throughout the night. The hosts used long-scoring stretches in all three sets to lead them to victory. 

Philippine Alba paced the Raptors with eight kills and seven digs, while Jewel Smith collected 13 assists and Emily Anastasi tallied 26 digs in the effort. Kaylynn Tran added three kills and seven digs for Bard as well.

Maddie Bredehoeft (Centennial, CO) led the way for Clarkson with nine kills.
