PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Bard College men's swimming team opened the 2017-18 season with a 114-37 victory over Purchase College on Friday night.

Dio Tzortzis led four Bard double winners with a new school record in the 500-free. His time of 2:01.51 broke his previous record in that event by two seconds. He also won the 200-free.
Kevin Barbosa won the 50-free and 100-fly.
Derek Low won the 1000-free and the 100-breast.
Kristof Szabo took the 200-IM and 100-back, and
Tyler Mar won the 100-free.
The 200-free relay team of Low, Barbosa,
Maxim Tamm and
Gabe Braunstein won that event; Tzortzis, Szabo, Braunstein and Mar won the 200-medley relay.
